Outside of the work I design for brands, I love to create my own illustrations and learn new skills. I enjoy collaborating with other artists and designers, lending a hand with my motion capabilities to bring their work to life. This has led to several opportunities across London, bringing life and art to new spaces.
Westfield Community Collaboration
The latest instalment of the Let’s Do London Better campaign has taken over Croydon town centre, partnering with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield to transform the Allders centre whilst essential works take place. A selection of five local artists were commissioned each to create an artwork which showcases and celebrates Croydon and its culture.
My role within the team was to bring each artwork to life through motion - a QR code was printed next to the artworks which members of the community could scan to view the animations via their mobile phones. I pitched motion direction for each piece, taking the lead in decisions to transform static artworks into interactive and visually engaging animations. Below are the animated artworks of Frankie Curtis, Tim Easley and Bareface.
